Bitcoin Transfer Feature will available on Twitter! They announced it would soon release. Hello Indodax members!
After discussing Twitter boss Jack Dorsey in the previous article, we will discuss the breakthrough that Twitter will present next. Twitter announced that its 330 million active users would soon be able to send bitcoins to each other instantly and at almost no cost by leveraging the Lightning Network.
Twitter began integrating Lightning’s Strike bitcoin wallet with its platform last week, allowing users to send and receive bitcoins as quickly as they could tweet. For the time being, this feature will be available for iOS users, and for Android, it will be available in the next few weeks.

The announcement regarding this launch was primarily ignored by the media and closed to the case of the Chinese state banning cryptocurrencies.
As Strike founder and CEO Jack Mallers explained in a video announcing the launch of Twitter: “We just made free instant remittance payments, from Chicago, Illinois, the USA to San Salvador, El Salvador via Twitter. Why would anyone use Western Union WU +2.1% again? When you take one of the largest social internet networks in the world, and you combine it with the best open monetary network in the world, Twitter accidentally becomes one of the best remittance experiences in the world.”

To activate this feature on the user side, users tap the Tips icon on the left side of the Follow button, then link it with several third-party services, namely Bandcamp, Cash App, Chipper, Patreon, Razorpay, Wealthsimple Cash, and Venmo.
